In partnership with Women’s Aid since 2015, The Kering Foundation accompanies a digital resource supporting women affected by domestic abuse. The Forum is an interactive online message board that enables women to share their personal experiences of domestic abuse, and offer support to one another in a safe environment.
This new website and forum was launched on November 25, to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The objective now is to cascade Survivors’ Forum services within Women’s Aid national federation of 220 domestic abuse services and in the wider public sphere to ensure that the Survivors’ Forum is reaching out to the diverse range of survivors who might need it.
Following the refreshed site relaunch in November 2015, registrations to the forum have nearly doubled from 595 users in February to 1,116 users in July.
“We have all learned to help and support each other, despite all of the trauma that we have gone through. This sends a clear message that abuse will not get the better of us. Eventually we can heal and become strong from our experiences” Quote from a survivor.
