Fighting against domestic violence in China

The Maple Women's Psychological Counseling Center Beijing (MWPCCB), is a non-profit women's organization founded in 1992 by Ms. Wang Xingjuan and a group of women intellectuals dedicated to women's cause. As a voluntary organization, its mission is to research on and serve women (slogan: women study women's issue, women educate women, women help women). MWPCCB offers psychological support and helps victims in emergency situation through multi-sector coordination (medical, legal, shelter).  It has six helplines and a dedicated hotline to help victims of domestic violence was created in 2004. The center also runs workshops and training courses nationwide and awareness campaign.
The Kering Foundation will support the Maple Center for three years.
